[singlepic id=242 w=320 h=240 float=right]Last Saturday, the Combined Youth Fellowship took place at NIM Gyaneshwor Church at 2:00 PM. Scores of old and new faces took to the church hall in eager anticipation of what was to be a truly blessed service.
Skits, mimes, dances and musical performances were presented by the youths of Gyaneshwor, Gongabu, Jorpati and Lalitpur churches.
Pastor Samuel Don Karthak then shared the vision of the G12 Commission and gave a report about the progress made so far.
In the end Pastor Robert Karthak gave a short word of exhortation. He told a story about an army commander who asked his young soldiers an important question. The commander asked them who among them was willing to die for his country and every hand but one was raised. He repeated the question once more. Again everyone but the one boy raised his hands. When the commander asked the boy if he really wouldn’t die for his country, the boy replied that he would rather live for his country instead of dying for it. Pastor Robert quoted a leader as saying, “People had one life to live and one death to die, and that they should do both like men.”
After the service, refreshments were served to the leaders.
